
Sonia R. Banks, Ph.D, LCP
Dr. Sonia R. Banks holds a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University, as well as a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from The New School for Social Research. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wellesley College.
With a proven track record in designing qualitative, research-based behavioral interventions, Dr. Banks has counseled and coached hundreds of individuals using her trailblazing, cross-disciplinary approach to relationship consulting. Her innovative methods bridge psychology, human resources, and behavioral strategy to foster lasting personal and professional growth.
Dr. Banks has been featured as a therapist in Essence magazine and contributed to the American Journal of Public Health. She has also served as a diagnostic psychotherapist on network television, provided expert commentary in local publications, and appeared on NBC, ABC, and COX Radio.
Currently, Dr. Banks leads a passionate mission to improve quality of life by integrating playful activities into consulting, coaching, and team engagement. Her work inspires transformation—from boardrooms to family rooms—by helping clients reconnect with their potential through creative, evidence-informed approaches.
